“You are one self in perfect harmony with all there is, and all that there will be.” A Course In Miracles

Rain in its balanced form is but liquid laughter, joy streaming and healing flowing from the skies.  The dry, parched earth needs it as it needs the sun and air. In moderation, rain is a great blessing, keeping the crops from shriveling and keeping the flowers and the trees in bloom. And keeping us in fresh drinking water.

Rain and sun in balance are necessary for life.  But in extremes they become floods and mud slides and droughts. A gentle breeze is soothing and comforting; tornadoes and extreme high winds cause great pain and destruction. A calm sea makes for a lovely day, a hurricane or a tsunami causes panic and death. A sun in 75 degrees is a beautiful thing. A sun at 100 or more degrees is unbearable and harsh.   Too much of a good thing is not a good thing.

Extremes are the bane of this world.  Moderation and balance are the key.  This is true of our thinking and our beliefs and our politics as well.  Extremes destroy and divide; Balance heals.

Extremes are where anger lives as well as war and murder and disrespect and hate of others who are not like us. Balance is where kindness and compassion, understanding and love abide. There are two worlds and we live in each of them from moment to moment. In love and kindness we have one experience. In fear and judgment we have another.

So let’s open our minds and hearts and ask God to be in charge of our thinking, our beliefs, our politics and our vision of the world.  Let’s let Him heal our relationships with ourselves and with all others.  Let’s let Him guide our minds and hearts to a place where harmony and balance lead the way.  “I merely follow for I would not lead.” A Course In Miracles

Let the rains be gentle, the sun be mild, the winds a soothing breeze. Harmony and balance will now reign and extremes will disappear into the nothingness from which they came.  And we are grateful.

Let our prayer be for healing and health for all the world. Let us ask for help with kindness and love and trust to generate the health and wellness and safety we want for everyone on earth. And then let us be grateful and say Thank You, God!
