DON’T THINK, SMILE

“And God smiles upon His Child, His one creation and His only joy.” A Course In Miracles

“I will smile my thoughts today.”

A smile is a speech without words. A smile can heal a situation, a relationship or begin a friendship. It can defuse a tense moment and soften a heart.

What if we stopped thinking and started smiling? Smile in greeting at each stranger we pass. Smile at our spouse, our partner, our children, our co-workers.  What if we let go of all that we think we know and all that we judge to be real or factual and simply smile instead. No thinking. No judgments. No words.

A smile is a signal, a form of communication. It’s a sign of our willingness to be friendly and open. It requires no thinking, no words, no effort and no time. It cost nothing and yet it is a valuable gift to everyone we smile at and to ourselves as well.

A smile is contagious and causes others to smile back. In our smile, people feel they know us. In a smile lives kindness, compassion, humor, gentleness, open mindedness and the willingness to forgive. A smile houses love and the energy that makes joy rise.

As we smile we can lower our blood pressure, raise our awareness, open to our connection to others and feel the effects of the Divine Universe blessing us. Our forehead and face relax and our eyes soften as we smile. The tightness between our shoulders loosens and the heaviness in our chest becomes lighter.

A smile lifts us to a higher level of being and allows our spirit to shine.  We are beautiful when we smile. A quiet smile gives us breathing room to be in the moment and listen to the stillness of our holy self communing with our Source.

A smile leaves the past behind.

A smile doesn’t worry about the future.

A smile brings us all into Oneness in the moment.

Smile and be healed.  Smile and heal.

And feel God’s grateful, loving Presence, smiling back.
