EVEN A SLIVER

Our interests are not separate from anyone else’s.  No matter how we or others act out in fear, the fact is we all want the same thing.  To be told that we are wrong about whatever we think and see and feel in the world that does not come from Love.  We all want only to be happy and to experience God’s holy Love personally.  True, we look for it in some strange places.  And often our actions and the actions of others don’t seem to be those of seekers of peace.  But this strange thinking and sometimes even stranger behavior is only symbolic of our terror that we are here in darkness and separate from our Source and each other. The more fearful we are, the more violently we lash out in the world.  Those who deny God’s Love the loudest need It the most.

The only solution is to open our minds and hearts, even a sliver, and admit we want peace.  That slight opening allows God’s Love to surge through the crack in our armor and lift us to another place where all things are possible. It is important to remember that we cannot change the world and we cannot change how others behave in the world.  Our only power is to let God help us change our thoughts about the world.  From fear and judgment to forgiveness and surrender. And to remember the best we can that no matter how our brothers and sisters act out in the world, in the end they only want what we want, happiness, peace, safety, abundance and the health and well being of our loving Father.

May you walk in peace today knowing you are blessed and a blessing in the world.
