“I will take a step toward freedom today.”
Feelings are just feelings. We mustn’t be afraid to look at them. Remember the old saying, “…there is nothing to fear, but fear itself.” Fear is not a premonition. Anxiety is not a sign of bad things to come. Depression doesn’t mean the world is coming to an end. It only means we’re afraid or sad or angry. These are just feelings. They don’t own us, but it is time for us to recognize that instead, we need to own them. The most powerful antidote is simply looking and seeing the feelings as something apart from us and not actually who we are. The thought that “… this is just who I am” is based upon a false premise. It is not who we are. It is how we have chosen to be; what we have decided to believe. We have the right to choose fear instead of Love, but is that what we really want to manifest into our life?
