The power for peace and happiness lies only within us.  Not in anyone else.  This important lesson must be learned before we can truly be happy.  When we depend upon the actions and words of others for our peace of mind, our happiness and our joy, our acceptance and our worth, we will never be peaceful.  People change their minds about each other from moment to moment depending upon whether those in their lives are doing or saying what they perceive to be the “right” things.  The dynamic of most relationships is to give love when we are being given what we think we need from someone and to withhold love when the other person is not giving us our due. Can you see what a flimsy basis this is for determining the value of anyone?  

The good news is that happiness is a choice and one we can make every moment of every day.  All on our own. And therein lies our power.  The power we deny because we have forgotten who we are and still believe we must impress someone else. Other people’s opinions are valued way too highly and are based not upon who we are, but who the other person is; their life experience and values and fears.  How can anyone know us when they don’t even know themselves?  How can we know someone else when we don’t know ourselves?  Judgment is God’s job.  Being willing to surrender judgment to Him is ours. 

Imagine if you could see the TRUTH of YOU.  Your beauty and your glory and your light are beyond your ability to imagine.  If you only knew.  You would never suffer another moment’s doubt or sadness or fear or anger … IF YOU ONLY KNEW.
